The winning project, He, opening at MAXXI in Rome, Italy, this summer, is a large-scale balloon floating above the MAXXI piazza, providing shadow to a lawn and wooden platform below equipped with areas for play and rest. Human interaction takes place amid the dripping water flowing along the base of the suspended balloon, a chilling curtain that virtually defines the area underneath.Read more »

MAXXI is managed by a Foundation constituted in July of 2009 by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and houses two museums: MAXXI Art and MAXXI Architecture.
